Local Copy DR and Restore
The Local Storage Tool is ideal if you need rapid, seamless business continuity. It enables you to save a copy of the backed up data on a storage location on your own LAN. This ensures that relevant backup sets are always available for immediate restoration at LAN speed. This enables a critical system to be running in minutes.
Local storage can be configured for specific backup sets, typically ones containing critical data. On the first regular backup, the whole backup set is stored in the local storage. From then on, any changed files are backed up to the local storage. The Local Storage module is available for Windows, Linux and MAC. When a file in a backup set identified for local storage is created or modified, it is sent by the backup process to both the offsite backup storage and the local storage.
