Compliance
The SecurStore service complies with many industry regulations to protect data in an encrypted format and at an off-site, secure location. This protects the privacy and integrity of data during the entire backup process. Only authorised individuals are able to access the backups. In addition, a complete record is made of all software and system activity.
Encryption
Data is transmitted and stored using the most secure methods available, such as strong authentication, data advanced encryption standard (AES 128, 192 or 256) and password protection. It is designed to keep backed up data confidential, while still allowing legitimate users to perform data recovery. All encryption/decryption is done at the client side only.

Off-Site
Encrypted data is held off-site in a state-of-the-art data centre, on a reliable disk subsystem. In turn, this is duplicated and backed up onto an identical second disk subsystem in a different location. Our customers can therefore be sure that their backed up data is safe, secure and available whenever it is needed.
Authentication
The software and system authentication protocol is designed to ensure that there is no unauthorised access to the system. To do this, the system uses a secure, four-part, client authentication mechanism including, unique client account number, encryption keys, identifying code and configured IP address.
ISO 27001 Certification
SecurStore has an ISO 27001 information safety and management certification which identifies, manages and minimises the range of threats to which information is regularly subjected.
