SecurStore, the trusted and specialist cloud service provider, has today been selected by market leading print and digital media firm John Brown Media to protect its Shanghai office’s data. With further offices located globally in London, Cape Town and Tokyo, and a strong client base including Chelsea FC, Aston Martin, John Lewis and RBS, secure data protection was a key component of its business continuity strategy.

Phil Crawley, IT Manager at John Brown Media, said, “After undertaking a thorough market analysis of enterprise backup solutions, SecurStore met our technical and budgetary requirements for protecting our Chinese office. We have been more than impressed by the level of service and support received, and look forward to a long term relationship with them.”

SecurStore offers an agentless Cloud Backup solution that supports every major operating system, including Windows, Mac, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, Exchange, Lotus, SharePoint, SQL, and many other applications, all within a secure environment. Laptops can also be protected with a Lite software client and soon data from tablets, smartphones and other remote devices will be able to be backed up.

Data is encrypted before leaving the client’s firewall and although stored offsite, SecurStore can never view the data’s contents while it is stored in its data centre. SecurStore is also certified by the British Standards Institute for ISO 27001 which guarantees that proper working processes and protocols are being followed.

Alexander Eiríksson, COO at SecurStore, concluded, “We welcome John Brown Media to our existing customer portfolio and in particular are pleased to be aiding them in their backup of their Far East office. Our solution is designed to support any business no matter where its offices are or the volume of data needing protection. We are excited to be working with John Brown Media and hope the relationship continues for many years to come.”

SecurStore’s cloud storage is certified by the British Standards Institute for ISO 27001 and fully accredited by ANAB.
